My commentary

Graduated in Architecture and working in the Theater Sector of the Theatre, Cinema and Radio-TV Department of ECA USP, School of Communication and Art of the University of São Paulo, I had my eyes diverted by characters assembled by actors, which requires a physical environment that supports them to act.

In Guernica, from Picasso, there are five human characters whose postures are supported, to the eyes, by visual supports.

From this point of view I first imagined figures with dramatic postures, released into the air, fig 01,  fig 02 and fig 03 then their physical supports. For these first images I used the female figures from Picasso's painting.

This resulted, still parody, in a furniture project with which I ended up winning the Forma Industrial Design  Award. The project was presented at the Paris Biennale from 1979 and between 2018 and 2019, from October to March, at Carré d'Art, Nimes, France, exhibition Picasso -Le Temps de Conflit, in the special room with Picasso, Dora Marr, and René Clair

The only male character, the Dead Warrior, was the subject of other speculations resulting in a performance that can be seen in 3 very precarious polaroid photos, fig.01; fig.02; fig.03.
